RIP Joel Rosenberg, author of The Sleeping Dragon, which I read a number of times as a kid. It was a very good take on what would happen if people got stuck inside a D&D game. The RIP link is to a lovely tribute by Pamela Dean.

Deb Mensinger is the wife of Laurie J Marks, who is the author of the wonderful books Dancing Jack and Fire Logic. Short version: Deb needs a new liver, but the donor (her brother) has no health insurance & also needs cross-continent travel money.
